DevPitra is committed to making authentic Vedic rituals and spiritual services accessible to devotees around the world. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may require changes to your booking. This Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations and rescheduling requests are handled for services booked through our platform.
This Policy should be read together with our Refund Policy, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy.
1. Scope
This Cancellation Policy applies to all bookings made through DevPitra, including but not limited to:
- Online Puja Services
- Home Puja Services
- Temple Puja Bookings
- Pandit & Purohit Booking
- Live Puja Participation
- Havan & Religious Ceremonies
- Astrology Consultations
- Vastu Consultation
- Spiritual Events
- Puja Samagri (where applicable)
2. Customer-Initiated Cancellation
Customers may cancel a confirmed booking before the scheduled service begins.
Cancellation requests can be submitted through:
- Your DevPitra account ("My Bookings")
- Customer Support
- Official WhatsApp Support (if available)
A booking is considered cancelled only after confirmation from DevPitra.
Refund eligibility and applicable deductions are governed exclusively by the DevPitra Refund Policy.
3. Rescheduling of Bookings
We understand that plans may change. Therefore, eligible bookings may be rescheduled under the following conditions:
- Rescheduling requests should preferably be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled service.
- Rescheduling is subject to the availability of the assigned Pandit/Purohit or an equivalent qualified priest.
- Only one complimentary rescheduling may be permitted for a booking unless otherwise approved by DevPitra.
- Requests received close to the scheduled service time may not be accommodated.
DevPitra reserves the right to decline rescheduling requests where arrangements for the ritual have already commenced.
4. Cancellation by DevPitra
In rare situations, DevPitra may cancel or postpone a booking due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Unavailability or sudden illness of the assigned Pandit or Purohit
- Temple restrictions or temple authority decisions
- Government restrictions or legal requirements
- Natural disasters or other Force Majeure events
- Technical failures affecting online services
- Safety concerns
- Incorrect or fraudulent booking information
- Any circumstance that makes it impossible to perform the booked service properly
Where reasonably possible, we will notify you promptly and offer an alternative date, replacement Pandit/Purohit, or any other remedy available under our Refund Policy.
5. Services That Cannot Be Cancelled
The following services generally cannot be cancelled once preparations have commenced:
- Pujas where Sankalp has already been performed.
- Rituals that have already started.
- Temple offerings already submitted.
- Prasad that has already been dispatched.
- Customized Puja Kits prepared specifically for your booking.
- Completed Astrology or Consultation sessions.
6. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure smooth processing of your cancellation or rescheduling request, customers should:
- Provide the correct Booking ID.
- Use the registered email address or mobile number.
- Inform DevPitra as early as possible if plans change.
- Ensure that all booking details provided are accurate.
Failure to provide correct information may delay the processing of your request.
7. Force Majeure
DevPitra shall not be held responsible for delays, cancellations, or interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Earthquakes
- Floods
- Cyclones
- Fires
- Pandemic or epidemic situations
- Government restrictions
- Internet or power outages
- Temple closures
- Civil unrest
- War or acts of terrorism
In such cases, DevPitra will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the service whenever possible.
8. How to Cancel a Booking
You may request cancellation using any of the following methods:
Through Website
- Log in to your DevPitra account.
- Go to My Bookings.
- Select the relevant booking.
- Click Cancel Booking.
- Submit the cancellation request.
Through Customer Support
You may also contact our support team by providing:
- Booking ID
- Registered Name
- Registered Mobile Number
- Reason for Cancellation
9. Cancellation Confirmation
Once your request has been reviewed, DevPitra will send confirmation via:
- SMS
- WhatsApp (where available)
Until confirmation is received, the booking shall remain active.
10. Relationship with Refund Policy
This Cancellation Policy only explains:
- How cancellations can be requested.
- When bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled.
- The responsibilities of both parties.
All matters relating to:
- Refund eligibility
- Refund amount
- Processing timelines
- Payment reversals
- Duplicate payments
- Chargebacks
are governed exclusively by the DevPitra Refund Policy.
11. Policy Changes
DevPitra reserves the right to amend or update this Cancellation Policy at any time to comply with applicable laws or improve customer experience.
Any revised version shall become effective immediately upon publication on our website.
